Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals R-ALA is a highly bioavailable version of Alpha-Lipoic acid - an essential cofactor for many important enzymes in the body. R-ALA is an organic compound made in animals that aids in a wide variety of aerobic metabolism processes, as well as contributing powerful antioxidant properties. Lipoic acid, while commonly found in foods, is only present in a low bioavailable form, necessitating supplementation with higher bioavailable forms.

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals uses their own unique Cyclosome® formulation for R-ALA which significantly improves the bioavailability and absorption of this product. This more stable complex increases its plasma concentration via oral consumption 2.5 times higher than that of competing R-ALA products. Hi-Tech has also incorporated an effective liposomal delivery system into this product which has been shown to increase absorption rates by 2.8 times, primarily by stabilizing the compound through the digestive process.
