Insane Labz Psychotic Review: I Tried Every Version and This is What I Thought!

Insane Labz Psychotic: The Original

The original Psychotic is our top seller and has been for years. The one thing I disliked about this formula when first seeing it was that it was a huge 4,459mg blend of different ingredients, so you really don't know how much of each ingredient you are getting. This is common with Insane Labz, though that has been changing lately.

This one provided some good energy from the stimulants (I believe 400mg of caffeine) and tingles from the beta alanine. No real pumps at all, which is obvious from seeing the ingredient breakdown. Just not a lot in here. I would say anyone looking for straight energy and focus, this is a good formula. Maybe stack it with something like Pump Sauce for some extra pumps during your workout.

Insane Labz Psychotic Gold

Psychotic Gold is really similar to the original. I felt like the energy was really good, especially with the different formula of stimulants, and with the added citrulline, I get some pumps from it. Honestly though, if you put them side by side, and I took each blindly, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. But they both worked well, though as you will read below, there are other versions I did like better. Another thing, like the original, this is a large blend, so you don't know exactly what you are getting.

And while there is some citrulline in Psychotic Gold, it's not enough to really push the limits. I'd recommend stacking with another non-stim pump pre-workout if you need more pumps.

Insane Labz Psychotic Xtreme

The one thing that made Psychotic Xtreme first stand out to me was the flavors. Tamarindo and Agua Fresca especially. Both were delicious.

Now while this product also is made up of blends, Insane Labz at least broke it down slightly more. There are also a lot more ingredients in this product...about 2,000mg more than the Gold or Original.

After talking with Insane Labz, there are a few things that make this product extreme vs the other formulas.

• 450mg of Caffeine
• 3,200mg of Beta Alanine
• 1,000mg of Cognitive Ingredients

Definitely a stronger formula than Gold and the Original, and you can feel it. This pre-workout was just a little too much for me. I think it was the extremely high dose of caffeine along with the yohimbine. I think people that love stims will love it, but it was just too much for me. My rating though is on how well this works, and it does work, a little too much!

That's why I'd recommend starting with 1/2 scoop and see how you feel on it. One scoop right off the bat will be too much for most people.

Insane Labz Psychotic Test

Now this one is probably the most unique out of all the Psychotic formulas. Psychotic Test is a pre-workout, but also a testosterone booster in one. Like the others, this is a proprietary blend, but like Xtreme, it is a little more broken down.

The energy was great from this pre-workout. We don't know how much caffeine but I am assuming 300mg, which is my sweet spot. It also has the beta alanine, and even some creatine. But don't skip on the creatine, there won't be enough in here to make a difference.

Now the Testosterone Matrix in the product has D-Aspartic Acid and AMPiTest and some other herbs. Unfortunately we don't know how much of each. And did I notice anything from this. Really the only thing was a boost in libido. Probably from the D-Aspartic Acid.

I personally just don't like testosterone boosters mixed into pre-workouts. I don't take pre-workouts daily, and testosterone boosters you should. Also, testosterone boosting ingredients only really work if you have good dosages. I am unsure what the dosage is here.

Because of this, I would just take it if you love the energy and focus it gives your workouts and think of the testosterone matrix as a bonus. Looking at it that way, I actually thought it was a good pre-workout. Better than the Original and Gold in my book.

Insane Labz Psychotic Black

Okay, back to proprietary blends. Psychotic Black is another blend totalling 4.7 grams. This one is really just a mild stimulant/endurance pre-workout, with some additional creatine. Because the entire blend is 4.7 grams, and normally you want 5 grams of creatine and 3.2 grams of beta alanine, I doubt you are getting anywhere close to that.

With only 200mg of caffeine (estimated), I didn't see huge amount of energy from it vs the previous formulas I have reviewed. I got the tingles, but really nothing else from this product. I think it's best for beginners, which isn't a bad thing. Insane Labz doesn't need another high stim pre-workout, they have a ton of them, this is a good intro into the brand and even into pre-workout supplements in general.

Insane Labz Psychotic Clear

Psychotic Clear was, I believe, Insane Labz first non proprietary blend. They actually break down the entire formula for this product. And it is also made from all natural ingredients. Both of those tell you why it's called "clear" of course.

This one is jam packed with ingredients. Almost 12 grams of ingredients. That almost triple the original.

All the stimulants in this product round up to near 400mg, so this is very strong. And with the 6 grams of Citrulline Malate, 3.2 grams of beta alanine, 21.5 grams of betain and others, this is a very well rounded pre-workout. One of my favorites from Insane Labz.

I loved this pre-workout. I got some great pumps, some tingles and insane energy. Again, wish the stimulant level was a little bit less, but it wasn't straight caffeine either.

I am really sure why this formula isn't a popular as the others, well I do, its the flavors. The natural flavors just doesn't make it taste as good and that can kill a pre-workout.

How about more transparent labels and less natural ingredients?

Insane Labz Psychotic X

Psychotic X is another one of my favorite formulas from Insane Labz. It's like the clear, but tastes great!

This one is another transparent label, but packed with almost 13 grams worth of ingredients (at two scoops).

It has everything you need from 6 grams of citrulline malate for pumps, to 3.2 grams of beta alanine for endurance, to 2.5 grams of betain for strength and power, to 425mg of stimulants. I just loved it. Again, a little high on the stims, but damn I felt good all over with this pre-workout. Insane Labz did an excellent job with this product.

Insane Labz Psychotic Restricted Rated R

This is one of Insane Labz newest pre-workouts. Insane Labz Psychotic Restricted Rated R is a well rounded pre-workout that focuses a lot on the pumps and nootropic feel good areas. But in Insane Labz fashion, they push over 450mg of stimulants into this product.

I got some really good pumps from the high dose of Citrulline Malata (8 grams) and really felt just happy from the GABA added to this product. The only thing I didn't like, and why I didn't give it a ton was the very high levels of Yohimbine. I hate yohimbine, but I know other people love it. But even with that, probably one of my favorites of 2026.

Insane Labz Psychotic SAW Series

Psychotic SAW Series is more of a spin off of the original I feel. There are some differences, but it is again a proprietary formula and less than 5,000mg of active ingredients.

It's another high 350mg caffeine formula from them, but with some added stimulants for a different feel, and some nootropics to help make you feel good. Did I get some good energy, yes. But did I really feel any different from the Original or Gold, no. I am not saying it wasn't a good workout. It gave me the energy I needed, but I wish it would have had more nootropics and more pump ingredients for a more well rounded pre-workout supplement.

I think its some cool marketing for the move and it fits their brand, but I found a few of the other pre-workouts from them working much better.

Insane Labz Psychotic Hellboy

Psychotic Hellboy is another spin off from a movie, and a great movie at that! Unfortunately it is a very similar story to the Saw Series formula. Only about 5,000mg of ingredients in a proprietary blend. Now this formula does have some citrulline for pumps, but it won't have enough to really notice, and I didn't.

Did I get some good energy from this pre-workout, definitely. But it is just a little formula change mix of ingredients from Saw, Original and Gold. Like I mentioned at the beginning of this, I wouldn't be able to tell the different between all these if I was blinded. They are just too similar for me to tell anyway.

The nice thing about this pre-workout is that it only has 300mg of caffeine, which makes it a little more tame than some of the others. This is actually might sweet spot for caffeine, so I did like that. I'd rather get a good workout from 300mg of caffeine than be cracked out at 450mg.

Insane Labz Psychotic NC-21

Psychotic NC-21 is the newest pre-workout from Insane Labz. I was lucky enough to receive a free bottle from Insane Labz to test this out. And that's why I did over the past few days.

This is a maxed out endurance/stimulant/nootropic blend, but a transparent one, which is great. We know exactly how much of each ingredient it has.

First...this has a whopping 5,000mg of Beta Alanine. I felt those tingles HARD. I love it though. Most pre-workouts only have 3,200mg.

Then you get some Theanine and DMAE to help with that focus and intensity. I also just felt happy on them.

The 400mg of caffeine and AMPIberry at 50mg, you really feel the stims. As I mentioned previously, this is normally more than I take it, but I had to test it out! My heart was racing the entire workout lol.

The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the 4.5mg of Yohimbine. I never like this ingredient and this was a big dose for me. I could feel it down my neck. I know some people love this ingredient, but I just hate it. I stay away from pre-workouts with this, actually.

Overall though, still a great pre-workout. The only thing that would make it better would have been some pump ingredients.
