Skald Fat Burner: Is It Worth All the Hype?

Skald Fat Burner: Is It Worth All the Hype?

What is Skald?

First, I have to admin, this is a pretty cool name. When I first saw people were looking for this product, I instantly became interested because of the name. It's all about the marketing right? Anyway, back to the review.

Skald Fat Burner by BELDT Labs is a thermogenic supplement designed to support fat loss, boost energy, and enhance respiratory function. Here's a comprehensive breakdown of the product, its ingredients, supporting research, and comparable alternatives.

Skald is marketed as the first fat burner to include respiratory support, aiming to improve breathing during workouts. It combines stimulants, thermogenics, and herbal extracts to promote weight loss and energy enhancement. The supplement is available in capsule form and is manufactured in a cGMP-certified facility.

The Ingredients in Skald

Each Skald capsule contains a proprietary blend totaling approximately 341–356 mg. Unfortunately it is a blend, so we do not know how much of each ingredient is in each serving (outside of the caffeine). While we are not big fans of this, many manufacturers do this to hide their "secret sauce."

  • Caffeine Anhydrous (110 mg): A stimulant known to boost metabolism and enhance energy levels.

  • Green Tea Leaf Extract: Contains catechins like EGCG, which may support fat oxidation.

  • N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine: An amino acid that supports cognitive function and stress response.

  • Juniper Berry Extract: Traditionally used for its diuretic properties, potentially aiding in water weight reduction.

  • White Willow Bark Extract: Contains salicin, which has anti-inflammatory properties and may enhance the effects of other stimulants.

  • Verbascum Thapsus (Mullein) Leaf Powder: Used in traditional medicine for respiratory support.

  • Elecampane Root Powder: Another herb traditionally used to support respiratory health.

  • BioPerine® (Black Pepper Fruit Extract): Enhances the bioavailability of other ingredients.

Is There Any Research?

While individual ingredients like caffeine and green tea extract have been studied for their potential weight loss benefits, there is limited clinical research specifically on Skald's proprietary blend. Some users report increased energy and reduced appetite, but results vary. It's important to note that the effectiveness of fat burners can be influenced by diet, exercise, and individual metabolism.

This is common with a lot of fat burners. We hope to see more research on ingredients, especially in terms of weight loss, appetite suppression, energy and mood boosting.

Based on the reviews on Amazon though, a lot of people get great results from it, even without the research. Now I am one that doesn't believe everything I read on Amazon, but with the 1000's of reviews, this product does look promising.

Side Effects & Things to Look Out For

Due to its stimulant content, Skald may cause side effects such as jitteriness, increased heart rate, or sleep disturbances, especially in caffeine-sensitive individuals. It's recommended to start with a lower dose to assess tolerance. As with any supplement, consulting a healthcare professional before use is advisable.

Again, this is common for any sort of stimulant based fat burner.

Alternatives to Skald

  • Lipodrene w/ Ephedra Extract & DMHA: A multi-faceted weight loss supplement targeting fat burning, appetite suppression, and energy enhancement. Our top seller.

  • Hydroxyelite: A thermogenic fat burner with a transparent ingredient list, including acetyl-L-carnitine and green tea extract. Great for appetite suppression.

  • Lipodrene Elite w/ Coca Leaves: Similar to the original Lipodrene, but they replaced Epehdra Extract with Coca Leaves for a different pathway to fat burning and energy.

Our Final Thoughts

Skald Fat Burner offers a unique combination of ingredients aimed at supporting weight loss and respiratory function. While some users may experience benefits, the lack of transparent dosing and limited clinical research on the proprietary blend are considerations to keep in mind. This is common. It is a good all around fat burner, but if you have a lot of experience with stimulants, you may want to look at stronger formulas on the market such as the ones we mentioned above.
